Pillar of strength to the Church.To our surprise and regret the. Friendly relations which have so long existed have recently become greatly disturbed, because of the fact that: our missionaries have been refused admittance to Norway, where, before, they had enjoyed the privileges accorded to other religious Organizations. Upon inquiry regarding the reason for this changed attitude we were informed that representatives of the Christian churches of the country, in convention assembled, had passed resolutions to the effect that the Mormon Church is not a Christian organization, and consequently we were not entitled to the privileges, and protection under the law, which we have hitherto enjoyed.Our protest against this ruling was answered by the statement that the only means by which it could be modified would be for a con ference of churches to assemble.
