Joseph Randolph

Joseph Randolph, a Protestant, always felt uncomfortable in church and with religion. Following the death of his mother, he was plunged into an even deeper state of confusion when it came to religion and its' teaching. For he unexpectedly learned that his mother whom he revered, was Jewish, and that her entire family were victims of the Holocaust. Overwhelmed by these revelations, he immersed himself into the history of Judaism and the anti-Semitism that permeated throughout the world. In an attempt to uncover more about his mother and her troubled past, he decided to retrace her steps, hoping that it would provide the solutions to the questions that now plagued him, concerning his own future. These questions were about his faith, hope, and most importantly, what it was to be a Jew! His quest took him to Central & Eastern Europe, to the Mediterranean, and culminating with a pilgrimage to Israel.
