O analyse the relation of employment and health, no better period could be chosen than the last decade. We have no records of any period showing such violent ¿uctuations. In 1918, the percentage unem ployed (mainly skilled workers) was 8, in 1921 it had risen to 153, and yet the rates by which health is measured Showed some improvement.
