Herman has been Julia's special bear for a long time. She takes him everywhere with her in his own linen carrier and he is very much admired wherever they go. When Julia hears about an old bear who is no longer loved and cared for, she decides that he should make a new home with her and Herman.

The two bears become friends immediately and they don't mind at all when Julia discovers more bears needing a special home with lots of love. What will they all get up to as the bear family grows and grows.?
