About the AuthorMelinda Scott holds a B.S. in Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources with a concentration in Parks and Outdoor Recreation from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She is the leisure coordinator and mother of several children. She has more than ten years of experience teaching children and twenty years of experience in outdoor recreation, including experience in biking, camping, spelunking, backpacking, hiking, boating, and wildlife tracking.
