Lázaro was born in Salamanca, just beside the Tormes river. He was very poor and since childhood he had to look for life itself. He didn't live a life in a happy world, but he was clever and witty, and he got ready to go forward. Without a father and still just a boy, his mother delivers him to a blind man so that he can accompany and serve him guidance.
