Lady Susan is Jane Austen's earliest novel. It was written in the mid-1790s, when Austen was around 18 or 19 years old, but not published until 1871, many years after her death. Lady Susan is an epistolary novel with a variety of narrative voices telling the story of Lady Susan Vernon, the title character.
