The perioperative management of newborns with surgical conditions is an interdisciplinary effort. These infants generally spend less than a day in the operating room, but require days, weeks, or even months of complex pre- and postoperative care. The Manual of Neonatal Surgical Intensive Care will be useful to both medical and surgical clinicians who are taking care of newborn infants with surgical conditions.
