Maquia is the first full-length anime movie directed by Mari Okada, who is well known as the screenwriter of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day and The Anthem of the Heart. This collection includes a foreword by Director Mari Okada, comments and explanations by Art Director Kazuki Higashiji, and an interview with Okada, Higashiji, and Tomoaki Okada, who was in charge of the art setting for this movie.
