Life wasn't about being popular, it wasn't about the so many things that Meghan thought it was, and she was about to discover for herself what truly mattered most in life. Her journey would take her to death's doorstep and back more than once, while becoming the young woman that God had intended her to be, a perfect picture of His grace. At a young age of 15 Meghan was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called HLH. Weeks of testing her for so many things led to her being admitted to McMaster Children's Hospital in April of 2005. Meghan was then diagnosed and put into a drug induced coma for several days. This was the beginning of a journey none of us ever thought we would have to share with her. Her courage and love that she constantly displayed during her battle inspired everyone. She, in her own words, taught us: "It's not about how long you live, it's about how you live your life.
