To the many kind friends of Rufus Ellis, and especially to the devoted ones of his Boston ministry, this little Memoir is respectfully inscribed. If these pages recall to parishioners, wherever they may be, some pleasant memories of their old pastor, the life-record which is here printed is not in vain.
