The genealogy of Moriz Panther and Elizabeth Birk. One son, Phillip, stayed in their home village of Mösbach. Two other sons, Ferdinand in 1854 and Aloys in 1872, set off for America, finally settling in Des Moines County, Iowa. This is the story of their children, grandchildren, their ancestors and the ancestors of Ferdinand's and Aloys's wives, Amelia Traub and Monika Hanle.
