This is Sally's story of loss and betrayal, and ultimately the resilience of the human spirit. At twelve years old, her idyllic childhood ends with the death of her mother. Left with a father struggling with his own grief, Sally learns to accept the first of many blows life will bring. Set during the first half of the last century, Sally's world is simpler time. However, the circumstances in which she finds herself are as complicated as any today.
