Catherine Wagner is an important mid-career poet known for her groundbreaking work in the feminist "gurlesque" tradition. She is beloved by many poets who currently teach and direct MFA programs, and the book will do well in bookstores in cities and towns with substantial MFA populations. She is funny and raunchy and totally weird, and her work speaks well to the current anticapitalist and antifascist and antiracist sentiments many younger people hold dear.
