Excerpt from Official Register of Legally Qualified Other Practitioners: A List of Persons Licensed by the State Board of Health to Treat Human Ailments Without the Use of Medicines Internally or Externally and Without the Use of Operative Surgery Prior to July 1, 1917The examination of other practitioners was on an entirely unsatisfactory basis until September, 1916, when, through a resolution passed by the State Board of Health, the method was subjected to radical change. By virtue of this resolution, other practitioners were subjected to the same examinations and even given the same questions used in the examination of physicians except that the subject of materia medica, therapeutics, surgery and obstetrics, were omitted.
