Each county report is intended to be as nearly complete in itself as it is practicable to make it, even at the expense of some repetition. There is presented in the form of an Appendix a general discussion of the important principles of soil fertility, in order to help the farmer and landowner to understand the significance of the data furnished by the soil survey and to make intelligent application of the same in the maintenance and improvement of the land.
