Excerpt from On the Pathology of Bronchitis, Catarrhal Pneumonia, Tubercle: And Allied Lesions of the Human LungThe little work which I now offer to the profession had its origin in a series of papers which appeared in The Practitioner for the years 1879 and 1880 Since then I have carefully revised all the observations and made such alterations as bring the subject-matter up to the present day. I am well aware that many points contained within the book will excite adverse criticism on the part even of those who have made Tubercle and Phthisis subjects of special study.
