Brewer describió el nido, dice que es grande, comparativamente con las dimensiones del propietario, y que la parte de afuera está hecha con varitas finas mezcladas con musgos largos colgantes, el forro está hecho primorosa mente con raíces negras fibrosas, tallos de semillas de musgo y unos cuantos pelos. Añade que los huevos son de un verde azulado, manchados con profusión de moreno, y generalmente con un anillo de borrones confluentes de moreno y lila, alrededor de la punta más larga.
