The greatest Law man e'er did seek,
Even from the most primitive time,
Which leads us up the highest peak
To the grandest goal sublime.

This Law for years many score,
Has been so tightly sealed,
Now shines as clear as the simplest law
In Euclid's mental field.

And sure we know it is exact,
And soars to the loftiest crown,
By just alone the single fact,
No soul can tear it down.
