The study area in general consists of two north-south ridges divided by Saline Bayou. The watershed of the western area ¿ows into Black Lake Bayou to the west and the Saline Bayou to the east. The watershed of the eastern ridge ¿ows into Saline Bayou to the west and Dugdemona River to the east. All ultimately discharge into the Red River.
