In addition large sums were voted in Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Illi nois and Wisconsin for educational and other local purposes. Vermont, Michigan and Iowa resolved through the Boxes, Women's Aid As sociations, and other instrumentalities, to raise the utmost possible for the Murray Fund, but pledged no definite sum.
