The meeting reviewed the decisions of the twenty-eight session of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI) relevant to regional fishery bodies (RFBs). The Meeting discussed factors affecting fisheries management, including illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, overcapacity and the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 61/105 on Sustainable Fisheries.
