Armies could get to battle many times faster and not be exhausted when they got there. Plus communication took on new dimensions, so many advantages. With this single invention everything changes. Caesar survives (Because he has a bike to escape the assassins) and Rome never falls. It continues spreading its empire across the world to the present day!
