Dusty Diamond is called by Buddy Bowers to help him in Bayview, South Carolina. It seems a "golf hustler" is causing a bit of unrest in this small coastal town. However, there's more to it than just hustling golfers-like murder! What? Not only was the guy set up and killed, but the man's sultry wife may have the hots for Buddy. Yikes! The trail of the stolen goods leads Dusty to the hustler-the "Sand Shark." He has many names, but Dusty manages to filter them out. She not only has to solve the crimes, but she also has to get Buddy out of jail-again! Oh no! Dusty works her way through the different characters at the golf course, the local pawn shop and the jewelry store before she finally narrows the list of suspects to two...or maybe three...or possibly four. Huh? Will the danged-old swing-bridge keep Dusty from preventing her suspects from doing the tango at the bottom of the bay? Or will her Jeep be her coffin when it decides to take her for a swim? Heaven forbid!
