Tom Bissell started writing his novel back in his college days. In class he was asked to, "write a short story" and it was this one request from an English teacher that set him off on an adventure inside his mind! He enjoyed it so much he continued to (occasionally) write more stories and poems here and there and, ten years later, the finished article appears as a compilation of the things that popped into his head throughout the years. He experienced joy and also heartbreak, yet this provided him with much of the inspiration he used for his poems and stories. Inside the pages of his book are written the changing emotions and feelings he has had throughout his teens and into the here and now. He isn't a writer (he's a self taught, self confessed "Computing Specialist") but he can write, and write well. He just wanted to get all his ideals and philosophies into print, and didn't want them to disappear never to be heard again. He hopes that adults and younger people alike will enjoy and remember at least parts of his book, and then, no matter the opinion of them, his beliefs will live on.
