Sigurd is a young Icelandic man who is fostered to a relation and works hard at being a farmhand as well as training to bear arms. His life is disrupted when he is outlawed from his homeland for killing a neighbour's son in an act of self defence. His adventures begin when he joins with a Norse army to fight against the High King of Ireland, Brian Boru. He is constantly driven by a determination to provide for his young family and his insatiable lust to be remembered in oral history as a respected leader of men.......
