This second volume deals with the electronic structure and bonding in solids, and then focuses on several important classes of inorganic compounds. These include materials in which the emphasis is on their electronic properties, such as low-dimensional solids, superconductors, and metal-cluster compounds, and those that will find utility as heterogeneous catalysts, for example layer compounds and zeolites.
