San Diego's police department is writing off the merciless shooting
of a doting Chicano family man as another gang-related execution in the county's endless crossborder drug wars. So if the weak and vulnerable are to get any measure of justice, disillusioned ex-cop Dan Paige must rekindle his investigative skills to solve a complex case that will surely place him squarely in harm's way. He may be in pole position to right a horrible wrong... but at what price to his idyllic Southern California existence in a land of 'sun, surf and senoritas'?
