At the end of World War II in Europe, 1st Lt. Frank Emberling and 2nd Lt. Larry Castellano are shipped to Algeria in North Africa. After both men settle in, Emberling meets a breathtakingly beautiful daughter of a displaced American and his French wife, and Castellano begins a torrid affair with the couple's other daughter.
