Good, singable music, of proper range, set to purposeful text, and of such character and construction as to inspire the average boy to eager effort in singing. The natural range of the average boy is rather limited, and the selections here have been arranged with this fact in mind.Most of the selections are in two-part arrangement, and these, while primarily designed for boys, may with a few exceptions be used with equally good effect by girls' voices - soprano and alto.The subjects - words and music - are throughout, cheerful, optimistic and healthful in tone.
