The Sermons in this Volume, with the exception of that on Job, are arranged according to the order of the Sunday Lessons, and indeed the selection of the characters has been regulated in some measure with this view. The concluding Sermon on Antichrist was not written with any reference to this series, but, independently of other reasons for its introduction, it is so connected with some of the subjects as to render it a suitable termination for the Volume.
