Excerpt from The Consolidated School in North DakotaThere are now 273 consolidated schools in the state, 48 different counties being represented. Of this number 103 are open country consolidated schools and 170 are town consolidated schools. Last year there were 75 open country consolidated and 115 town consol idated schools. This means an increase of 83 in one year, the great est increase in the history of the state. This is due largely to the state aid grant in connection with the co-operation of the press and several public spirited persons in and out of the school field in the state.
