In 1591, the Earl of Hertford hosted Queen Elizabeth I during a stop on her annual progress. This work, originally published by John Wolfe in 1591, is a primary source document which recounts the details of that visit to Hampshire, including the preparations, foods served, and entertainments presented. This new edition has been standardized and annotated by Jeremy David Clos.
