Every one knows what a rendezvous Bath was in those days, that city also was to the front with Sunday Schools, early in I 785. The establishment of Sunday Schools, in the City of Bath, commenced in January 1 785, when the following Gentle men were appointed to be a Committee 1 then follows a list of fifteen individuals, representing the most in¿uential society-men of Bath - baronets, doctors, ministers, and an archdeacon. This would send the topic of Sunday Schools to all parts of the country, to become the subject of general and animated gossip, if nothing more.
