The work is about adults (16 and over) affected by mental disorder, the definition, which is taken from 2003 mental health Act), which includes mental illness, learning disability and personality disorder. In particular it concerns those adults who may be at risk to their health, welfare, safety, finance and property, and to the finding of an adequate response to this range of risk in the context of local adult protection frameworks and contemporary Scottish legislative frameworks. The work also explores how relative risk management systems operate to provide those adults with support and protection.
