This facsimile is from the e.m. Copy of the earliest known edition of 1607. Other impressions were issued in 1611, 1629 and 1637, it may thus be inferred that the play was popular. An adaptation by Mrs. Aphra Behn was published in 1677 under the title of The Town Fop.
