Excerpt from The New Testament Manuscripts in the Freer CollectionThe publication of the Fragments of the Epistles of Paul com pletes the study of the four Biblical manuscripts bought by Mr. Freer in 1906. These badly decayed fragments were left until the last because of their supposed inferior value and still more because of the difficulty of separating and reading accurately such small and discolored pieces of parchment. Most of the labor of editing has fallen to this part of the work, in the course of which the original collation has been compared and corrected three times.
