I regard Phrenology as the only system of mental philosophy which can be said to indi cate, with anything like clearness and precision, man's mixed moral and intellectual nature, and' as the only guide short of revelation for educating him in harmony with his faculties, as a being of power, with his wants, as a creature of necessity, and with his duties, as an agent responsible to his Maker and amenable to the laws declared by the all-wise Providence.
