A Stanford graduate is sent to Norway by the President on a mission. In London , she is given a new name, Jenna Williams, by Jonathan Holland , who is in charge of her mission. She spends the day running along the Thames, and visiting the British museum . While looking at the Communist Manifesto she is befriended by a man who invites her to attend a meeting of scholars who study Marx. Holland informs Jenna that Fred Wilkins, is possibly a mole in their office. Jenna befriends Fred and invites him to the Marxist scholars meeting. At the meeting , Soviet flags make Fred nervous and he tells Holland abut a Soviet spy ring. Wilkins is immediately reassigned to New Delhi. Jenna feels guilty knowing he is not the mole . Jenna believes a new agent, Allan Moore might be the mole and she and Holland devise a plan to discover if he is. Despite agency policy against romantic relationships , one, between Jenna and Holland , is developing.
