The Principles of Planning Buildings

Excerpt from The Principles of Planning Buildings: An Analytical Treatise for the Use of Architects and Others

In the first place, it is perhaps correct to refer to the public, that has so kindly shown its appreciation of the author's labours, as to entail upon him the further labour of preparing this third edition for issue on the completion of the first decade of the book's existence. As a matter of historical fact, it may be remarked that the stripling was in a state of suspended anima tion for a twelvemonth between the periods of the two former editions.
