Excerpt from The Quarterly of Alpha Zeta, Vol. 14: June, 1916While a great deal of the school work in agriculture was poorly done, yet interest in the teaching of the subject was aroused to the extent that the legislature of the State, without a dissenting vote, passed a law in 1913, which made mandatory the teaching of agriculture in the public schools of towns and town ships.
