The Totemic Analogy in Bible Symbolism

First Conquer Thyself:

The bible is a very sexy book. Understanding biblical symbolism is important to recognizing ancient methodologies in behavior including violence and abuse.
Psychosexuality in many biblical verses has to a large degree, been lost through alternate methods of communication and successful patriarchal power relations. This has lessened the perception of feminine expression. But the lost feminine, among other concepts, is indicated in many hidden ways and exists in conjunction with the outwardly expressed patriarchal. In total, matriarchal and patriarchal functions cannot exist without the other. Each gender quality possesses a light side as well as a dark side.

Biblical verses have multiple meanings and one message does not necessarily lessen any other message. All one needs is a basic understanding of the mythological expression commonly used during the times the bible was written and a whole new world opens. The main method used to convey biblical mythological meaning is the "Totemic Analogy" where metaphorical meaning is negated due to the one-God concept. The Totemic Analogy is mostly used with similes involving nature and socioarithmetics.

The author was under military orders not to discuss the subjects presented in this part's Mandated Report on child abuse to the social body for the last six years of his U.S. Navy career. Censorship is strong when one questions social norms, folkways and rituals that address issues of identity. Internal, interpersonal and professional conflicts arise.
