As to the other Scotch tenure of blench-holding, it is not necessary to say more than that, in so far as relates to land in a commercial int of view, it is in the same as the tenure of Eli-farm - with this exception, which is favourable to commerce, that no annual return is made to the exce ting something merely nominal or elusory. N otwith this, the superiorit may be a valuable right in other respects - as, for example, the nght to work the minerals may remain attached to it.
