Beginning with 1970s Socialist Yugoslavia, Uroš ¿voro explores the cultural and political paradoxes of turbo-folk. Taking as its starting point turbo-folk¿s popularity across national borders, ¿voro analyses key songs and performers in Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia.
