Excerpt from Twelfth Biennial Report of the State Board of Health of Maryland, for the Two Years Ending December 31st, 1897The Board has made strenuous efforts against the prevalence of typhoid fever in our midst, but finds itself hampered by lack of suitable laws and want of co-operation by the local authorities.
