Excerpt from Twenty-Ninth Annual Report of the State Board of Health of Florida, 1917: Approved by the Board in Annual Session, April 18, 1918

When the present Board assumed its duties in June they decided to request the Governor of the State to have the financial accounts and records of the State Board Of Health given a thorough auditing. Mr. R. A. Was detailed for the work. After a full examination of the books, vouchers and in the Executive Ofice, he reported that the records appeared to have been kept up and all monies drawn from the State Treasury on requisition, have been properly accounted for by properly approved vouchers.
