The Vasarely exhibition in February 2019 is the first Parisianretrospective devoted to the artist since the 1963 Muséedes Arts décoratifs exhibition.The show presents the "Vasarely system?, the aesthetics ofan artist who, better than any other, has embodied the imagination of the "Trente Glorieuses? and the idea of progress. For the first time, the exhibition gathers all aspects of Vasarely's production and not only the abstract and Op Art works, through paintings, commercials, multiples, architectural integrations, etc. testifying to a project of social diffusion of theart in the first half of the 20th century. Settled in Paris in 1930, where he worked as a graphic artist and as a creative consultantin advertising agencies, Vasarely developed his style ofgeometric abstract art, working in various materials but using aminimal number of forms and colors.
