As we are moving towards 21st century, so are the ideas of employee welfare and services. Once, these ideas were followed because of their statutory nature but now many organizations participate voluntarily. This radical change has occurred because of development of notion which considers employees as ¿Human¿ Resource. With this came the concept of employee satisfaction. Now satisfaction is considered to be directly proportional to performance of employee at work and so it became vital for organizations to keep track of satisfaction level of employee in order to give best possible performances. Also, it helped in keeping check on employee turnover ratio as more dissatisfied an employee is, more are the chances that he leaves the organization. Thus, welfare measures are more seriously taken up nowadays to ensure employee satisfaction and growth of the organization.
