There are now in the United States women engaged in labor be yond the confines of the home. This is nearly a third Of the workers of the country. What their status is, how they are treated, whether they have a place in the law, become questions of vital concern to national progress. The author has stated the problem and argued the main points in this compact, well-arranged book. She shows, too, the connection of women's labor with woman's vote. This phase of the problem is to be treated also in another book.
