Jason Thomas Johnson was born on July 8, 1979, in Holt, Michigan. After achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at the University of Michigan, in 2002, he accepted a job offer from a youth residential treatment facility located in Memphis, Tennessee. While working full time, Jason was able to achieve a Master of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in the field of school psychology. It was the combination of his work experiences and his continued schooling that helped develop his gung ho preventative attitude, which is not only aimed at the children who are treated, but at the adults who interact with them as well. It is his contention that society perpetually errs by overlooking the trials and tribulations of the treatment agents, and dismissing their concerns by means of despondency.
